Adam is an internationally known marketing and branding expert, and the founder and CEO of Hanft Projects, a boutique, special-opps brand strategy firm. He currently sits on the Board of Scotts Miracle-Gro (NYSE:SMG) the global leader in consumer lawn and garden products, including the high-growth hydroponics space. Beyond his Board seat, Adam also plays a significant role in shaping the company’s go-to-market strategies, including its “Connected Yard” and IoT initiatives. In addition, Adam has advised global icons – from McKinsey to Microsoft – as well as many venture-backed early-stage companies across the consumer and b2b marketplaces; they include: Hampton Creek, creators of Just Mayo, and the world’s fastest-growing food company; Superflex, a “Powered Clothing” spin-out from SRI; and Cyrano, a category-defining digital scent player. He also led the marketing and creative transformation of Match.com into the “New Normal” for relationship initiation. Adam writes frequently on business, culture and politics for media that include Huffington Post, Fast Company and Mashable, and has appeared everywhere from the Today Show to the Daily Show. He is co-author of the best-selling “Dictionary of the Future” – which Wired called “a mimetic encyclopedia of what’s to come.” Adam is currently advising Yair Lapid, who is in the race to be Israel’s next prime minister. Adam began his career as a comedy writer, and went on to a successful career as a multi-award winning creative director and advertising agency founder. He is Phi Beta Kappa graduate of New York University.
