Robin brings over 20 years of experience in software engineering, AI, machine learning, and program management.

He was previously Technical Program Manager at Microsoft in Redmond, where he designed and supervised the development of Fraud and Risk Management capabilities for machine learning back-end infrastructure for Xbox e-commerce transactions at scale, negotiating across teams to satisfy Global Commerce, Legal, Privacy, Operations, Support, Test, Development, and general management.

He has a long-standing interest in AI, with specific interests in reinforcement learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. He hosts TalkRL Podcast, featuring in-depth interviews with reinforcement learning researchers on the latest developments in AI, and regularly attends top AI research conferences.

Earlier in his career, he designed and built high-performance scientific and engineering software for leading engineering consultancies. Transportation software he built has been used by hundreds of Canada's largest employers, and saved many millions of dollars in transportation costs.

Robin holds a BASc in Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo.
